Gambian people are of Muslim tribal origin, the three main tribes being; Mandinka, Fula, & Wolof. The official language of The Gambia is English, although there is a strong French influence from Senegal & each tribe also has its own language. |

Although most Gambians are poor very few are destitute. There is sufficient food and clothing for all and if someone needs shelter others within the community will offer it. |
